Age of Vehicle

0 – 1 year (Not applicable for reconditioned vehicles)

Electric Vehicle (EV) Home Charger add-on coverage

The Etiqa EV Home Charger Takaful coverage add-on provides reimbursements of up to RM12,000 to replace or repair your EV home charger in the event of loss or damage due to:
  • Theft
  • Fire
  • Flood
  • Lightning
  • Explosion
  • Hurricane, cyclone, typhoon, windstorm, earthquake
  • Aircraft and aerial devices or articles dropped therefrom
  • Impact damage by road vehicles
  • Burst or overflowing water tanks, apparatus or pipes

How to Claim?

  1. Lodge a police report within twenty-four (24) hours of the incident,
  2. Submit a copy of the police report, and
  3. Submit the original repair invoice(s)/receipt(s) for the expense(s) incurred detailing the installer company name.

Notes

  1. The FREE EV Home Charger Takaful Coverage add-on is available for sign ups by 31 December 2025 and coverage will be active for the entire 1-year tenure of the Motor Takaful certificate.
  2. This FREE EV Home Charger offer is available via Etiqa and Maybank branches, our General Takaful agents or Etiqa Oneline at 1 300 139139.
  3. Coverage is limited to one (1) occurrence during the tenure of the Takaful plan./li>
